With the LMU Mentoring Program, the LMU Munich School of Management supports outstanding young scientists on their way to an academic career with the goal of becoming a professor.
The mentoring program supports you on your way to becoming a professor. As a mentee, you select experienced professors from LMU or other universities to act as mentors. In addition to mentor support, the program offers you continuing education courses, networking opportunities, and supports you in your career planning with funding. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible support and encouragement as you embark on your academic career.
Mentees are selected based on the quality of the submitted applications and within the framework of LMU's diversity principles.
*The contract execution is done by the institute of the applying mentee. The auxiliary staff is booked to the AOST of the mentoring project. The AOST-No. will be communicated upon application approval, for "factually and arithmetically correct" a mentoring representative signs the employment contract.
All costs (exception: employment contracts for student assistants) are to be paid in advance by the respective institute where the mentee is employed. Invoices are paid by the respective institute, there are only transfers. The economic risk is borne by the institute.
In case of incomplete applications and/or incorrect or incomplete documents submitted for billing, the Mentoring Committee of LMU Munich School of Management reserves the right to reject the application.
The mentee is responsible for ensuring that invoices can be paid within the payment deadline. If reminder fees are incurred due to late invoice submissions, these are to be borne by the mentee him/herself.
